Calling all Penangites to show their support

Although it is the Mid-Autumn Festival on Sunday (Sept 14) and a time of celebration with mooncakes and lanterns, there is nothing much to celebrate. The recent ugly turn of events where the draconian ISA is being used to instil fear into journalists, newspapers, bloggers and the public with the arrest of RPK, Teresa Kok and Sin Chew reporter Tan Hoon Cheng is much cause for concern. It is time for the people to show their disgust and anger against the use of ISA to frighten the people.

So, if you are against the draconian ISA, do show your support for Suaram’s Anti-ISA night on Sunday:

What: Anti-ISA Night

Where: Dewan Sri Pinang

When: 9pm, Sept 14, Sunday

Who: Everyone in support of the anti-ISA cause for the release of all ISA detainees including the latest three detainees

Wear: Black clothes to show full support
