The Koh and Lim Chronicles

The political scene in Penang is really becoming a mud-slinging contest between the has-beens in Gerakan and the current DAP-PKR state government. When will either of them cease and desist? Why won’t the Gerakan fellas shut up and continue on with their ‘party revival plans’ instead of engaging in this open and public name-calling with the DAP fellas?

Just recently, Gerakan acting president Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon has hit out at our current Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and called him ‘discourteous’. Again, this is over the recent multi-million and billion investments by Japanese company Ibiden and American company, Honeywell.

Of course, Koh Tsu Koon is itching to claim that these investments are his doing since it took him years to convince them to come here. Meanwhile Lim Guan Eng has claimed that he is the one who closed the deals so he also played a part in it. And in direct response to the Gerakan’s statements that he was trying to steal the limelight by claiming that these two investments are due to his efforts, Guan Eng decided that this does not warrant a reply. After all, the investors themselves know the truth and he need not explain himself. That is a wise move.

Karpal Singh was not so gracious, though. He had told Koh Tsu Koon off and asked him to ride off into the sunset. Rightly so.

Koh Tsu Koon is holding on to this issue like a tenacious little terrier. He is now saying that Guan Eng has failed to give credit where credit is due not like when he was chief minister, he would always give credit to those who deserve it.

Uh-huh. I am afraid our former chief minister forgot the keyword in his sentence – when he was chief minister. As in he is now no longer our chief minister. He no longer hold any government position. Period. He had 18 long years to do whatever he wants to Penang and that is already enough. More than enough, in fact. We, Penangites, are so sick of him, we wished that he would disappear!

So, Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon, isn’t it about time that you really do disappear? Go visit your children overseas, pay more attention to your busy, ‘professional’ wife or even indulge in the little illusion that you will be able to recapture Penang in the next term. Whatever.

Just stop this childish acts already. If anything, it is only making you look more stupid. If you really want to do something for your party, then go ahead do something with your party. Go reform or do whatever with your party since it obviously needed help. Gerakan is now like PPP, or even worse. So, go do something about it instead of harping on things that will only make you look stupid.

When Lim Guan Eng asked to meet you, you run and hide like a cowering coward. Now, because of two large investments that you feel you deserve to be credited for, you come right out and call Guan Eng discourteous.

Hello, who is being discourteous here? The chief minister asked you to go meet him nicely. Politely. You said there is ‘no need for you to interfere’. When news of these investments came out, you hurriedly rush to say ‘It is mine, not his’.

So, there is a need for you to interfere now?

Really, for your own good, Koh Tsu Koon, it is time that you retire. Penangites are really sick of you and your shenanigans. Just go.

haha i really dunno why the current opposition just cant leave the state government alone?

if the dap-pkr really sucked, then no worries. the people will kick them outta office eventually. there’s really no need for this HU-HA over little things.

its time for politicians to think for the rakyat and not just themselves.

we’ve had enough of their selfless thoughts.
