A walk in the park

Recently, we took my little toddler to the playground at the Penang Municipal Park or better known as Youth Park. The landscaping is still just as beautiful after the council revamped the whole park a few years ago.

The flowers are blooming…

It was especially therapeutic, after a stressful work week dealing with all sorts of idiots at work, to be walking amongst greenery and wonderful landscaping.

I won’t write more but let the pictures tell the story:

Damn, you make me missed Penang!
I used to do warm up exercises there
Before I went to the Botanical Gardens
That was so ancient years ago

I used to jog and walk in Botanical Gardens
I believe many changes had taken place
The quiet evening runs and walks
It was stressed free when I was in Penang
Whenever I hopped in to these recreational parks

Looking back I used to run up to the Moon Gate
      Late evening mostly around 5.30pm
Imagine I didn’t think about safety
I didn’t think about getting snake bites
It was a cool place resting up there
      Looking at the town………….
And still got free drink at the tea place
I wonder it is still there?

While it is just in my memory
Years ago I had left my footprints behind
      Youth Park and Botanical Gardens
      A place for anger management……
Then I went back to face
      The hundreds of workers

      O Penang Island
A place to rock one soul away
      The memories of the places
It sways into my forgotten memory
